Let's talk about something I never thought I'd be writing about: changing the name of my business.

When I first launched Mich Interior Design, I was focused on building a brand that felt personal and modern, a reflection of my own name, my love for layered, livable spaces, and the design voice I was still finding. At that stage, it made perfect sense. It was me, it was simple, and it felt like the right foundation to grow from.

Fast forward to today, and something funny keeps happening: people think I'm based in Michigan. (Spoiler alert: I'm not.)

Over time, I realized that while the name had personal meaning, it wasn't telling the right story to new clients. Instead of creating clarity, it created confusion. And if there's one thing I know as a designer and project manager, it's that clarity is everything.

That's why I've decided it's time for a change. Just like I would reimagine a client's living room: layering in thoughtful choices, updating what no longer works, and creating a space that feels true to who they are, I'm giving my business name a refresh. Something intentional. Something elevated. Something that reflects both the creative heart of design and the organized, project-driven process I bring to every job.

Because at the end of the day, this isn't just a name change. It's a chance to realign my brand with the next chapter of my story, one that speaks more clearly to the clients I serve, and the way I want this business to grow.

And here's where you come in.

I've been playing around with a few new names, and I'd love your input. Which one feels right? Which one speaks to the kind of designer you'd want to hire?

🗳️ So, tell me: which name is calling your name?

Your feedback isn't just helpful; it's essential. After all, design is about connection, and this next chapter isn't just about me. It's about creating a brand that feels clear, confident, and compelling to the people I'm designing for you.

🌟 What's Next

This rebrand is more than a new title on a business card. It's about sharpening my vision for the future. In the months ahead, I'll be sharing:

  • Behind-the-scenes looks at upcoming projects, from concept to completion.
  • Practical design insights that blend creativity with real-world functionality.
  • Stories from the field about how project management plays just as big a role in great design as choosing the perfect fabric or finish.

My goal is to create a space, here and in my work, where design feels approachable, elevated, and seamlessly executed. The new name will simply be the banner under which all of that continues to grow.
